Acrylic Paintings

Painting is a hobby I picked up during pregnancy. I view it as a form of meditation. Often, when I’m overwhelmed or facing challenges and uncertainties, taking a step away and creating artwork allows my mind to be in a safe place while it contemplates the tougher issues I’m dealing with. It’s not about being good at creativity; it’s about creativity being good for me. Here is some of my work. I hope you enjoy it.

Floral Art

In October 2018, I set foot on my painting journey, but I didn’t start with painting flowers. My very first painting was ocean waves, based on a YouTube tutorial. I’ll spare you the visual abuse from that. Once I tried painting flowers, I began to understand how the process is like connecting to nature and serenity. It’s a way to immerse myself in the timeless beauty of nature, and I like it.

Space Paintings

This set of space paintings was created for my son’s 3rd birthday. The originals are displayed in my son’s room, while several prints are in homes across California and Arizona, USA.

Minimal Art – Windows

The Swedish photographer Marcus Cederberg‘s minimalistic photography inspired this window painting series. I’m currently working on the fifth piece, which is unlikely to be the last one in this series.

Travel Art

I have had the privilege to visit some remarkable places and love seeing them through my camera lens. I came up with the idea of creating one or two paintings based on my own photographs from each place I visited to expand my expression of gratitude toward the experiences and deepen my connection with places, people, and culture. Needless to say, my progress on this one is very slow.
